ABOUT Richard
I’m a designer who has a passion for simplifying complex, abstract problems into creative, delightful, and effective solutions. I take my design inspiration from Disney’s Imagineers, who believe in combining creative imagination with technical expertise.

I previously worked as both a cybersecurity attorney at Major League Baseball and investigator for the government. I utilize skills gained from both professions in my design approach today. Like product design, both aforementioned disciplines involve first understanding the problem to be solved, then conducting research (collecting evidence), analysis, and tests until the correct solution is found.

I am very curious about about the world and how things work. I love learning about history, cultures, myths, and folktales. I enjoy art (Lichtenstein, Murakami), innovative architecture (Calatrava, Hadid), and comic books (Claremont, Starlin, Kirby). I am also very passionate about animal welfare.
"We keep moving forward—opening up new doors and doing new things—because we're curious. And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. We're always exploring and experimenting. At WED, we call it Imagineering—the blending of creative imagination with technical know-how.”
— Walt Disney
